Intertek DIC A/S has reviewed our ISO 9001 quality system and found it to be compliant.
Maintenance of the ISO 9001 certification is a condition of meeting the customers' requirements for uniform quality.
In April 2022, Ålsrode Smede & Maskinfabrik A/S was certified according to ISO 14001 – Environmental management.
In August 2015 we chose to upgrade our EN 1090-1 certification from EXC3 to EXC4.
We are certified to manufacture steel and aluminium constructions according to 1090-1 EXC4.
EXC4 requires full traceability for the entire manufacturing process.
We are certified to perform CE marking of constructions according to declaration methods 1,2,3B, and 3A.
In 2015, Ålsrode Smede & Maskinfabrik A/S was certified according to ISO 3834-2 "Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials - Comprehensive quality requirements".
ISO 3834-2 comprises the following (a.o.) requirement areas: technical evaluation, personnel, equipment, welding consumables and parent material, heat treatment, inspection and testing, calibration and validation of measuring, inspection and testing equipment, traceability, and quality records.
This certification – in combination with the EN 1090-1 certification – ensures that the quality of welded steel & aluminium structures from us meets agreed, specified requirements.
DNV-GL Welding Workshop Approval Certificate
Ålsrode Smede & Maskinfabrik A/S has been approved for the following range of applications:
· Hull Equipment
· Piping Systems
· Machinery Components
In accordance with DNVGL, DNV and GL rules and guidelines.
On 7th of July 2016 we were awarded an Elite Smiley (no remarks on the last 4 inspections) by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration.
This is visible proof that we have been approved for producing and repairing machines for the food industry.

Ålsrode Smede & Maskinfabrik A/S is an authorised plumber and approved by the Danish Safety Technology Authority to carry out plumbing work.
According to our approval, we must have a quality system and a supervisory body to handle and monitor the quality system of the authorised company.
In our company, we have chosen to co-operate with Q-KONTROL, the quality control of the electric and plumbing industries.

The Danish Working Environment Authority visited Ålsrode Smede & Maskinfabrik A/S on 23 January 2014.
They renewed our green smiley without any comments. It is valid for a period of 5 years.

Ålsrode Smede & Maskinfabrik A/S has had a GMC environmental certificate since 2002. This environmental certificate documents that we not only comply with environmental legislation but have also made a special effort regarding the environment. It also certifies that our in-house environmental organization maintains a constant overview of our environmental impact and that the company's employees are involved in our environmental efforts.
